Blog 1 - Intro to Me

Hi, my name is Jen and I am a Junior here at SJSU. I received my AA from a junior college near my home, transferred to so cal to further my education and then decided to change majors and schools and move back to nor cal, making this my first year actually at SJSU.
I'm now majoring in Journalism, emphasizing in photography and minoring in English Lit (At least I think....I have a problem deciding things [which may explain why I am now at my third college/university]).Writing is my sanity if not my passion and when words fail me it's nice to have a camera do the talking. People fascinate me and the world at large intrigues me but there is a lot of crap in it. It may sound overly naive but I'd like to think that one day my words and my pictures would make a positive difference. That's why I'm here. Anyone can write, and certainly anyone can click a button, but I want to learn to write words that vibrate in ears, take pictures that mesmerize eyes, and tell true stories that capture hearts. I want to report truth but I can't do that if I don't know the basics and that is why I'm taking Journalism 61.
